Fly me to Asia I said, fly me to Africa, to America to Australia – and they did.
I’ve been everywhere man, I’ve been everywhere! 🎶
At least, I thought I had, but I was listening to the radio the other day and heard a song that proved me wrong.
Fly me to the moon 🎶
I’ve got a few million sitting around in my bank account, so I thought … why not?
Air travel is quite expensive, you get what you pay for whether you turn left or right when boarding. You normally get something to eat, a drink or three and a movie to watch. But what I got on my way to the moon and back was as basic as you can imagine. I even had to wear an cumbersome outfit and helmet for goodness sake. Far less comfortable than my usual jeans and jacket!
As you know dear reader, I always come back with loads of pictures. Not this time though. There was nothing to photograph! No mountains, no oceans, no McDonalds, just a grey plain as far as the eye could see. It made the Sahara dessert seem picturesque, at least that’s a nice colour!
I’m going to leave a revue on TripAdvisor advising you not to take this trip!
Before you ask, no, I’m not going to Mars! My next trip will be to Madeira in two-and-bit week’s time. I can hardly wait!
This is where I long to be, la isla bonita! 🎶
*Yes, I know they speak Portuguese there not Spanish, but there’s not a song called a bela ilha!

Nice story based on the pic. I hope you know that I will spend the rest of the day humming Fly Me to the Moon. Thanks for that!

That was great, Keith! I’d rather go to Madeira than the moon, too. Lol!

This was excellent, Keith. And no, the moon is not on my list, nor is Mars, but Portugal is!

A fun song, but I’d rather not make that trip, either.

There’s so much to see on Earth, why go up there?

So sorry Keith that your trip to the moon was a disappointment. Perhaps your next vacation would be more colorful. 😂😂😂
Thanks for joining in.

I wouldn’t recommend it, Sadje! I’m sure Madeira will be very colourful!

No thanks to flying me to the moon. There’s nothing of interest there. 🙂 Now, Madeira on the other hand. Wow!

Thanks for the heads up, Keith. I am going to turn down Musk’s offer. Anywhere on this earth is better than space.
