It’s a beautiful place. And I’m glad to see it’s all intact after all the 007, and Spider-Man movies shot here. 😁

I remember the film, The Tourist, starring Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp with the photos you shared Keith.

Basilica di San Marco has some awesome architecture. Thank you for spoiling us with so many photos, Keith. ☺️

Beautiful shots of a wonderful adventure. I was on more than one of those boats taking in the scenery. I also bought some of those delicious looking veggies.

Thank you for hosting the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday and rest of the week, Keith. 🙂

You got some really beautiful pics. It doesn’t look too crowded either? Or is that clever angles? I spent 2 weeks there for Carnivale. I had the best time. I’d love to take my youngest there (the older 2 not keen for family holidays now that they have their own lives)….so beautiful

Actually, it was very crowded – I spent ages standing still waiting for gaps to appear! Carnivale must have been incredible.

It’s such an amazing place and to see all the buildings right in/on the water is so fascinating. We have flooding here right now so homes are in the water and destroyed. It is hard to imagine feeling safe in a place built on those canals. Great photos of the art and culture.

Beautiful photos, and such a storied city!

One thing I notice is how colorful the buildings are.

(Also, a lot of those locations look crowded – I’ve heard that’s a bit of an issue in Venice these days)

A city filled with history. The crowds are indeed seen as something of a problem, hence the newly introduced tourist tax.

The tourist tax is a trial, is it not? Just wait until Sadiq pulls this off in London – anything to pinch a pound for the pot.
