She mentioned reincarnation the other day. I was only half listening, and said I preferred chrysanthemums to carnations. She gave me a clip around the ear as she often does, and told me to pay attention. Believe me, when she’s in that mood I do exactly as I’m told!
She said she’s coming back as a cat. No surprise there I thought, after all, they are the most pampered of pets. I almost pointed out she’s grown a few whiskers of late meaning the transformation’s already under way; then I thought better of it!
I always believed I was meant for stardom. Unfortunately I was forever in the wrong place at right time, rather than the right place at the wrong… you know what I mean. I may have been an actor, a singer, a drag queen! Maybe the world’s most celebrated juggler; you should see me in fruit aisle of the supermarket when I’m set loose on the lemons! Okay, I admit I was ordered to leave the other day when the floor resembled an orchard after a tornado!
Suddenly it came to me! I could be a starfish, they are born stars! Celebrities of the sea!
She laughed. Said I could hardly manage two arms, let alone five as my recent juggling fiasco proved. And I couldn’t even swim. Then, adding insult to injury, she said I had one useful quality, I was forever coming home from the pub legless.
Guess I’ll just have to wait and see.

A legless starfish, that’s an image to juggle with, Keith!

Funny guy! Remind to get to the fruit market before you do. Don’t like my lemons bruised! 😂🍋😂
