I still miss her.
So do I.
You, me and her, such happy times.
The cheery threesome!
She used to cuddle us.
She talked to us too.
Told us secrets, things she didn’t want others to know.
Yes, funny things and naughty things as well!
We knew in time she’d leave.
We did, but we didn’t expect her to leave us behind.
I wonder if she still thinks about us.
I hope so.
She’ll have children of her own one day.
Yes, and she’ll bring them here to visit their grandparents.
Perhaps she’ll let them play with us!
If she can persuade them to put down their phones!
I don’t know what I’d do without you.
Don’t worry, I’m never letting go.
I wouldn’t let you if you tried!
Together forever.

So lovely Keith. I’ve always believed toys have their own secret life. I still have my bear, though he doesn’t growl anymore and Hubby gave him new paws a few years ago.

So incredibly sweet, charming and melancholy. I love that you used the voice of these adorable cuddly friends who are no longer the constant companion of their now grown friend. A stunning write, Keith. 🧸
