Picture time!

for Wordless Wednesday and bloghops various!

I was walking around the park this afternoon, as I do several times a week, and it occurred to me just how many signs and notices there are dotted about the place! Not the most obvious subject for Wordless Wednesday, but I thought I’d photograph some of them anyway!

.

.

.

I think all play areas should have these.

.

 /.

.

Not exactly a sign, but I like it anyway!

.

.

Part of the sign which is a little unclear states that more than 70 ducklings are killed by seagulls here every year. If the ducklings don’t survive then in future there will be no ducks.

*As with all of my pictures, you can click them once or twice to make them a lot larger!

I wonder if anyone has ever read the rules. I haven’t!

One of dozens of memory trees.

and finally…

That’s it, I’m out’a here, bye!

That’s a lot of signs … clearly why you have such a beautiful park! People often need reminding. Thanks for the lovely pix, Keith! 🦆

What a lovely place to walk. I would also buy me a coffee and some duck food. Feeding ducks is grand fun.

Thank you for hosting the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday and rest of the week, Keith. 🙂

A lot of signage, I’m sure I would have missed a few of them in the park.
I see the reason for most of them, but some are just weird (like the one about the ducklings and seagulls)

The park is beside the beach so it’s full of gulls. It’s so sad that they kill so many ducklings

Oh my goodness soooooo many signs! Some are kinda silly- common sense should prevail!

Unfortunately, it doesn’t always prevail and the signs are ignored. There’s always someone feeding birds with bread which is the last thing they should be given.

Hi Keith – I didn’t know the park was called Egerton Park … but it does look a delightful little park off the seafront, and near the local museum – which does have interesting exhibitions there at times. Great to see your photos – but I was pleased to see the informative boards for the kids (or adults who might also be interested) … cheers Hilary
