My phone ding-a-linged”.
“Keithy” yelled my friend Rosey. “You won’t believe what I’ve seen!”
I rarely believe what she says she’s seen!
“A pink washing machine! Can you order it, please? My laptop always messes around and gets me the wrong thing”.
She texted me the link. Something else for her vast collection of Barbie dolls and accessories!
You should have seen her face when I delivered it!
“I can’t do my washing in that tiny thing, and why’s it £149.99?”
“It’s a toy,” I said, “£14.99!”
“I need new reading glasses,” she said. “I saw some online. Can you…”.
“NO!”
.
Thanks to Rochelle for hosting and to Na’ama for the photo!
Click Froggie to see what others have washed up!
I want one too. My granddaughter can play with it.

Haha! Reminds me of my aunt. She treats laptops like they might explode and always gets me to order her things, and complains I got the wrong thing.
Great story, Keith!

Thanks, Mason. My late mother was similarly bemused by hers!

There is a certain fear factor with a computer isn’t there? You have to overcome the idea of ‘press one button and everything vanishes’ I think.

Looks like a fun toy and Rosie’s young at heart; she might enjoy it. Don’t let her order reading glasses online, though.

She loves her Barbies so I’m sure she will! As for the specs, that would not be a good idea!

Dear Keith,
I love the winking picture of Rosey. I can see where she would frustrate him. 😉 Cute.

Poor Rosey! I don’t know about pink, but there are places here where you can order appliances made to look like those from the 1940s, and in the pastel colors, too.

Tell Rosie that she can find the solution on my response to the prompt Rochelle decided to post … 😉 (well, if Rosie can find her reading glasses …) 😉
As for the origin story of this machine … My friends had gotten sick of my complaining about how there’s no washing machine in my apartment and no laundry room in my NYC building … so they got me this to make sure I can no longer say I have not got a washing machine … 😉 Also, for extra credit, it actually spins, makes noise, and uses emergency lights … It’s a disco in a laundromat.

Your friends certainly have a great sense of humour, and the little machine sounds great! I’ll send Rosey your way – she’ll think it’s a brilliant idea, I’m sure!

Ha! My friends are … well … silly. Which is not THAT strange, given that I am … well … too … 😉
It’s a cool little gadget. In case of an emergency, I think you can attach it to the roof of a police car and it can double as emergency lights … (the lights in the machine rotate from blue to red to white …). 😉 Tell Rosie she’s always welcome.
