As fortune tellers go, Flora’s a bit different. She sits her customers or clients, whatever they’re called, at a table and places a book of predictions before them. She stands behind them, covers their eyes and tells them to open the book. Then she mumbles something in a weird language, probably one she’s invented, and then tells them to place a finger on a page.
Are you still with me? Yes? Good
Then Flora uncovers their eyes and tells them to read the prediction they are pointing at.
It always, well, nearly always works!
She’s predicted marriage proposals, lotto wins, accidents, illnesses, and death.
Flora decided to treat her Mother to a session. She sat her before a table etc etc etc, and then told her to read out what she was pointing at.
Mum squinted then said, “you are soon going to be under the ground mother”.
“What?” Yelled Flora, “No! Put your glasses on mum”.
“Oh, actually it says, I’m soon going to be a wonderful grandmother!”
Flora’s eyes almost popped out! She was a solo offspring which meant she’d just predicted her own future!

Nicely done Keith.

The sea looks so light and calm there – unlike the Pacific Ocean where I live (ironic, given its name).
