So beautiful. I love to wander down paths through wooded areas. This summer, walking isn’t really working for me (temporary health issues 🤦) so your pictures meant more to me than ever. 💞

I’m going to google this place. I’d love to see (read “paint”) that bridge from about ten metres farther back.

I’d love to see that painting! There are lots of bridge photos from the Cuckoo Trail on Google images. Thanks so much, Christine.

Spring and early summer is such a beautiful time to explore. When you have your camera and can take excellent photographs as you have even better.

Thank you for hosting the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday, Keith. 🙂

Hi Keith – your photos are gorgeous … true English early summer – and you got to Horam … or did you start there? Love that bench … such fun to see – also it looked pleasantly coolish there … cheers Hilary

I always visit my friend’s pub near Heathfield for lunch on Tuesdays, so I parked at Horam on the way home!

The bench is just one of many delightful creations along the trail. Last year I walked the entire 15-mile walk in one go – won’t be doing it again though!

      Off to Chartwell today!

What a lovely walk- I would love to be there! Such lush greenery! And the clever use of the old train by using the wheels to make a bench!

It’s a 15-mile trail with lots of interesting pieces like that bench along the way. Thanks for virtually walking with me!

Beautiful photos. I like the solitary half brown half green leaf amongst all the green in the fourth photo. It is nice that they have made a lot of the old rail lines into walking trails.

Funny you should mention that, I toyed with editing it out then changed my mind at the last minute!

When I was a kid the track ran past the bottom of our garden – I can still hear the steam engines chugging by!
