k2She couldn’t play an instrument. Such a shame because she loved music. She was mesmerised by orchestras and envied those that brought the works of great composers to life. 

‘Can you sing in tune?’ asked her friend.

‘Pretty well’ she said.

‘Then get yourself a kazoo! All you have to do is hum into it!’

So she did. And she loved it.

Unfortunately, orchestras don’t employ kazooists.

‘Start your own’ suggested her friend.

She put a video of herself on social media and asked for people to join her in a virtual kazoo orchestra. 

They did, lots of them! And so it was, The Kazorchestra came about.

They meet up every week on Zoom and buzz away to their heart’s content!

Move over The Royal Philharmonic!

        Did your comb have a lot of teeth and with widish spaces? Dunno … otherwise – and now retire … as I hardly need a comb!!! Cheers H

    I remember having a Kazoo as a kid. They were so much fun…but now I remember why we always were told to take it outside and why I never bought my kids a Kazoo.

    I’m glad their happy, but I won’t be listening! Two instruments I refuse to use when I’m finding music for TV shows I’m working on – kazoos and whistling!!

    Of course I had immediately to look and see if there really was a kazoo orchestra – and there is! (No use to me as I can’t sing in tune though! 😦 ) But what a lovely story.

    Although I play no musical instruments, someone once handed over a tamborine at a jam session to include me and I tapped away to my heart’s content. I might be able to handle a kazoo also.
