for Sammi’s Weekend Writing Prompt where the given word is Yonder and the limit, 44 words.
Now this is wierd. This story came into my head whilst I lay in bed this morning, and before I’d seen the prompt. I just had to change ‘over there’ to ‘yonder’!
.
‘Look yonder’ I said. ‘Isn’t that, err, Scarlet, Chris and their mum?’
‘That’s not a scarlet chrysanthemum, it’s a red rose’ said Rosey. ‘And why did you call me Yonder?’
‘No Rosey. Scarlet, Chris and …’
‘Silly me, you’re right. Of course it’s a chrysanthemum!’
.
Ha ha… love this. Thank you for the smiles you brought this Saturday evening!

Now that made me smile. What a fun play on words. I’m thinking Rosey appears often in your work? I like her!

It’s funny, I was thinking of Rosey recently. It’s nice to have her back, getting things all muddled again. Fun read, Keith 🙂

And I’m not sure which of you is battier, but Rosey is much prettier.

Dear Keith,
Does Rosey need hearing aids? Or does she need to pay better attention? Cute story.
