‘It’s a roller coaster’ I said.
‘I know’ he groaned staring into his coffee.
‘What fun!’
‘Fun? Really?’
‘Yes!’
‘Maybe for you’ he moaned.
‘It’s exciting!’ I gushed.
‘Exciting?’
‘Of course!’
‘One day high, the next low’ he droned.
‘What are you talking about?’ I asked.
‘Life. Up, down, round and round’ he mumbled.
‘I’m not talking about life‘ I said, ‘I’m … just finish your coffee and come with me’.
‘Life’s like coffee. Sometimes hot. Sometimes cold. Sweet, bitter’.
I gave up and headed for the roller coaster on my own.
Up I shot, fantastic! Down I plunged, woo! Sideways, yea! Upsidedown, help!
Just like life I thought!

Thanks to Rochelle for hosting and to Roger Bultot for the picture.
A neat little tale — just been through one of those myself. And you’ve outdone yourself with the graphics today — your frog roller coaster would make a good book cover!
Hmm… Rosie Finds Her Prince? Or maybe something technical like, The Path to Financial Success?

Dear Keith,
Once on the ride, he certainly waxed philosophical, didn’t he? Love the frog(s). So clever. Once more I leave your page smiling.

I really like how you wove the literal and the metaphorical together here. Nicely done. Fun froggie rollercoaster. I love literal rollercoasters!
