Heeheehee! Next time, hold out a box of dates (the fruit) and make her laugh. She may still turn you down to go out, but at least there probably won’t be a slap.
Well, I love Chess, but it’s been so long since I played. Years ago when I was in my twenties actually, I use to work for Western Electric. They had a Chess tournament there and a friend of mind bugged me to enter relentlessly so I did finally. Oh my gosh, it was soooooo much fun. Then when my son was growing up he came home one day and asked me to teach him to play. I was amazed so I did and we use to play all the time. Yes, I use to let him win (sometimes hehe), but then he actually started winning on his own. I was so proud. Now he plays with his son. His son leaves for the marines this Sunday so maybe he’ll let me play a couple games again. hahaha Have a great day my friend! Oh, cute chess board you got there!!! ~snicker-snicker~
Is this guy the same unsung hero? LOL

Thanks so much for telling your tale! I’ve not touched a chess piece for years. I might just take it up again – when we’re allowed!

This brightened my hectic day. 🙂
Thanks for the ROFLS Keith. How are things in your neck of woods, rather by your beauty haven?

Even I didn’t laugh that much! Gone a bit cloudy and cool here now, but OK thanks!

Because you wrote it, dammit!!
ha! ha!
It’s cloudy and cool here too in sweltering India, thanks to the cyclones. One got averted mercifully, after the last one wrecked havoc.
