Halfway already!

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Today’s redundant words :-

mmMelange a mixture of different things.

Mellisonant  sweet sounding

Mulivious go in different directions

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

aaaI was lucky to get a ticket.  Like gold dust they were.  And here I am in one of the best seats in the concert hall.

Here comes the orchestra.  Into the pit, they go.

I wonder why they call it a pit?  Let’s google it.  Pit.  A place or situation of futility, misery, or degradation. Oo-err!

Look, look.  They are shouldering their violins and moistening their trumpets.  The man holding the stick is … actually,  he’s blowing his nose,  I hope he hasn’t got a cold poor fellow.

I better switch off my phone incase my ring tone is in the wrong key!

Here we go!

aaaa

Oh, just listen.  A melange of sounds, some mellisonant some rasping.  My bumps have never been so goosed.

Mulivious notes fly,  glide,  swoop and dive… oooh, watch out!

It’s like I’ve died and gone to heaven,  only I haven’t,  and this is just the orchestra tuning up!

Now for the performance.  Shhh.

This is so beautiful,  so calming,  so soothing,  so …

aaaa

Oh, everyone’s clapping!  It’s finished.  I must have fallen asleep and missed it.  Oh phew.

Tomorrow’s word

Some classical music is so soothing it will put you to sleep after a good supper, which is a shame because it is so good you want to stay awake and enjoy.

I used to have season tickets to the symphony here. There was a guy in front of me who would fall asleep. A friend of yours???

I admit I had to look encomiums up in the dictionary, and having done so, I offer you my gracious thanks for you generous words Christine!

I had to look it up, too. For such an excellent effort this month no regular word would do. 😉

Isn’t that the way it goes! I like your descriptions of watching the orchestra pit.

The music was so hypnotic that you fell asleep? Too bad …. !
We have a high end boutique on the road behind my house that’s called Melange so I see this word EVERYDAY.

Musical notes played lullaby maybe 😉 They do have claiming effect. Don’t they?
I remembered once I had gone to watch a late-night show of a movie with my husband. Those were the prized tickets as the box office declared the show as house-full just after us. Much to embarrassment of my husband, I was happily snoaring even before the interval. On the way back, I was fresh enough to pester my husband to narrate the story of the movie!

Oh gosh, how awkward! Something similar happened to me when I persuaded my brother to try opera and he snored during the quiet bits!

OMG! at the risk of sounding like the teens in Hannah Montana at my age, I will say it again–OMG! This was sooo funny.

The google definition and the goosing of the bumps–classic Keith.

Was Ha! Ha-ing all the way.

lol, such a wonderful concert it was! 😉
I used to listen to western classical to sleep whenever I had migraine attacks. The notes are quite soft and beautiful.

Hi Keith – I need to write in silence … occasionally put some music on – but mostly magnificent quietude. You’re finding and using some fun words – expanding our vocabulary … take care … Hilary

I often nod off into a half-sleep while at a symphony performance. It gets to a point where the only thing I’m conscious of is the music, so I think of it as kind of a compliment.

Haha Keith. But don’t worry I hear you. Not our fault really. That’s how we were lulled to sleep as babies!
PS: My mom is a classical singer😀😀

We were indeed!. One of my biggest regrets is that I didn’t train to become a tenor. The closest I got was singing Barbers Shop.
