A silly story…

for Friday Fictioneers

hellofreeday.demo

This guy offered me a ride on his yacht. It was great. He shouted ‘duck’ but I couldn’t see one. Suddenly the boom swung round, knocking me overboard.  The clot didn’t even notice I’d gone.

I swam to a little island. I paddled, built a sandcastle then realised I was marooned. What now?

I arranged some stones to spell the word HELP.  It worked!  A girl landed her paraglider.  I jumped on her back,  she ran along the shore and we shot skyward.  What fun!  Weeeee! I stretched out my arms like aeroplane wings.

Bad move.  I fell back into the briny.

I swam to a little island…..

    Dear Keith,

What fun this was to read. Your MC must be a strong swimmer. Of course I love what you do with the frog. I find myself looking forward to your renderings of the little hoppy fellow. 😉

    Shalom,

He’s a stronger swimmer than I’ll ever be! I’m spending longer with the frog than I am with my words lately! Thanks, Rochelle.

Hah! I love the quick pace, which lends a comic turn to the story. Thanks for putting a smile on my face! 🙂

Now that was a fun ride… He might just, however, run out of options eventually…

He’s like Wiley Coyote — comes back intact and ready again in the next scene. Lighthearted tale of a persistent, slow learner. lol

LOL. My favorite line is “He shouted ‘duck’ but I couldn’t see one”.

Thanks for the early morning smile. I fear he hasn’t much future if he doesn’t figure out how life works.

LOL! What a fun little story to read! (less fun to be the one in the – repeated – brine … but still. … ;))

My wife and I were reading your story at the same time, and we both busted laughing out loud. My favorite part was the last sentence: “I swam to a little island…..”. It seems like I been there, ha.
