A conversation…

for Friday Fictioneers

To look at it now, you’d hardly believe what happened here all those years ago.

What happened?

It was terrible. He was evil. The things he did.

No, I think…

Awful. Held them captive for months. Nobody knew they were here.

Actually that….

He disappeared. Left them trapped in the cellar. When they discovered them it was too late.

Listen, that was….

They weren’t the first you know. What they later discovered shocked the nation.

Mate, stop. You’re…

Villa 346 went down in history.

Yes, but this is 345!

Ah, 345! That Scottish bloke lived here…

No. that was…oh, I give up!

    Dear Keith,

That Scottish bloke should be held at arm’s length. 😉 You made me laugh. 😀

    Shalom,

    Rochelle

PS I’m copying the purple frog. 😉 Thank you.

I’m guessing, Keith, that you are the first speaker in this dialogue.
And that Scottish bloke wishes he lived here!

It really impossible to put in a word in some people’s conversation! A good story

Murder follows that guy around Doesn’t matter which house the scottish guy lived at, there’d be a dead body or two around.

I bet the Scottish bloke had some dark secrets to keep as well. Good fun Keith.

I liked the way you built tension with repeated interjections to the narrative. The clever bit was using them to draw the character of the speaker. Nice work, Keith!

I like the dynamic tension you created. Sounds like the guy knows the scoop on everything. Well-written story.

Interesting that the “Scottish bloke” lived right next door to the house of horrors… 😉

It’s easy to get houses mixed up. A good thing he’s not a tour guide. Hilarious, Keith. How come that “Scottish bloke” is associated with so many murders? Of course, he is a writer. We know they can be a bit weird. A good story and well-written dialogue. 😀 — Suzanne

Love the way the you build up the suspense through dialogue – the tabloid talking person dominating the factual person. Cleverly written.

Interesting. Every villa has a story.
Not all know of the stories 🙂
    Have a great week!

There’s nothing like a humorous tale of torture and murder. Some people know all… except when to stop talking and listen.

I love this, and it reminds me of a skit used in several of the old Charlie Chan movies, where Charlie meets up with an old friend, and they start to catch up with each other’s lives, but each one gets only a few words in before the other guy answers or responds — getting in only a few words — before the first guy does the same. And to them the whole conversation makes sense, of course. It goes on for about 4 or 5 minutes in each of the movies, and they never do finish one sentence until they say “Goodbye.”

    I’m thinking 345 or 346, doesn’t matter 😉
Methinks there is definitely murder and mayhem in that there complex.

Ha! Sounds like one of those neighbors who *really* likes to talk. I’m sure the non-murderer villa is just fine. And that this conversation will go on for a while. 😉 Make me chuckle at several points.

I have a feeling this ‘storyteller’ has something to say about every place. What REALLY happened doesn’t seem important to him. 😉

Ha! Ha! That Scottish dude is one of the biggest mass murderer in history. How he gets away with it every week remains a mystery.

This was great fun. Just shows that the loudest people most often also are the wrongest people. Reminds me of someone… 🙂
