A soppy story…

for Sunday Photo Fiction

They often walked together. There’s was a special friendship yet neither was sure if the other harboured deeper feelings; both nervous to express their heartfelt thoughts should it damage the perfect companionship they so relished.

The rain pitter-pattered as they strolled. Puddles gathered along the path. As they stepped over them he wondered if he dared offer her his hand. What if I was to grasp his she wondered?

They sought shelter beneath a blossoming tree and glanced into each other’s eyes.  Then, instead of raindrops, they were showered with dancing pink petals. No words passed their lips, they would only have spoilt that blissful moment.

This is lovely…and then the cynic in me says that with all of their not wanting to spoil things, they’ll never get together.

Yes … when one’s out and about the petals are falling it’s rather pretty. I think I spelt loosing wrong and it should be losing! Early morning …?! Wonderful day today, though windy here … enjoy the week …

Driving home yesterday I saw all those maple flowers and pollen lining the roads and it set off my allergies. Teary eyes, dripping nose…how romantic, lol.

That was a lovely story, for a change. So many have shocking endings, so it’s nice to read (and write) feel-good stories… must be spring:)

Love the water reflection image! How wonderful, and pretty on all of them! Nebraska – where I live is more grasses than flowers. Not as pretty. It is cool where there are hills of it. – An Apel a Day
