Hi Keith … still cold, but thankfully no snow – though we had about 4″ of very sticky stuff – which had gone overnight. Love the shots – and I was pleased to find the letter registrations for the boats … Newhaven, Plymouth and Rye … at least I now know there’s a list! Cheers Hilary
Yes … I was interested in their origin … but don’t understand the fisheries business, though my mother who lived and worked in Newlyn, Cornwall would have understood more – sadly I didn’t tap into that knowledge … I’m fairly certain that Newlyn has boats from all over … something to bear in mind – in the future. I’m pretty sure I’m putting comments in the wrong place but I feel as if I’m shivering right there with the winter boats. Nice job getting some seagulls in there too.

Great photos. The first one is quite a way from home with a Plymouth registration. I sometimes go down to the Barbican about 5 miles from me and watch them come in.

Mainly bass, dover sole and codling plus crabs and lobster in season. Snow is quite rare here too. Thanks so much
