rosey pinky - CopyI was talking to my friend Rosey on the phone the other day when she suddenly squeaked then said “Look at the time”. I looked at the time and said “I’m looking at the time, what about it?” She said, “It’s twenty to eleven and past my bedtime!” It was five minutes to eight!

When the clocks go forward it takes her ages to adjust. For days she claims she’s suffering jet lag!

Last March she wound the hands back an hour instead of forward and met me for lunch two hours late.

As for the 24-hour clock on her phone…

    Dear Keith,

Daylight savings time can get a bit confusing. Particularly here where Arizona and Hawaii don’t ascribe to hit. Throws the whole internal clock off kilter. Cute story.

    Shalom,

    Rochelle

Always nice to hear from Rosey. It would not be right if she didn’t have trouble keeping time, it’s such a Rosey thing to do.

If you have a good wall clock, why look at the cheap digital clock of phone?

Changing the time is so confusing, especially if you are totally arithmetically dim as I am. I count on my fingers and still can’t work it out. Poor Rosey!

Hi Keith – I’m struggling here to remember I’m almost at the end of the time-clock line … so can imagine Rosey and many like her becoming completely befuddled with the time change – especially when you write about it – when it’s still six or seven weeks away! Cheers Hilary

Rosey seems like an interesting person. My father is always late everywhere we end up telling him the wrong time sometimes when its something important haha. I love people like that, always late, but always a joy to have around.. when they get there haha!

This is the first time I am meeting Rosie, and I like her. I like people for their eccentricities and she is definitely up there. Good one, Keith.

Poor Rosey. If anyone needed a digital home assistant to actually read the time out loud, it’s her!

Keith, you have to love Rosey. Being perfect is over-rated and people feel much more comfortable with a battler. Vive les Rosies!
    Best wishes,
    Rowena

Really, Rosie? I have to admit, I didn’t turn my car clock in either direction. Used to drive my kids crazy when they were little. It was always a good way to start a conversation. So, I’m with you, Rosie.

So it’s not just me! I’m not even sure how to alter the clock in my car!

It’s lovely to see Rosey again. Poor thing, she should see the clock in my car. Someone mixed up the spring forward and fall back… and now it’s two hours late, or just one. We’re too lazy to set it right and in a way it’s fun. Please write more Rosey. 🙂
