Sunday Photo Fiction

Little Millie has a special talent. She can wiggle her nose at a flower bud, and watch it open. If she frowns at an ugly slug it slithers off as fast as its slime can carry it. She can smile at a spider and sit down beside her, and get her to tickle her feet!

One summer’s day Daddy was cooking food on a fire in a tin box in the garden. There were lots of adults there talking and laughing. Millie wandered around amusing herself. She pointed at a bumble bee and it looped-the-loop. She poked out her tongue at a dandelion and it exploded sending little white bits into the air. Millie wished they would go indoors and eat. Gardens were for playing in.

Suddenly, lots of black clouds appeared, then there was a flash and a rumbling noise. Daddy looked up and frowned as he gave Uncle Gilbert his food.

Auntie Mazie shook some pepper over her sausages and some blew onto Millie’s nose. Millie sneezed the biggest sneeze she’d ever sneezed! You’ll never guess what happened next. The clouds scattered in lots of different directions and the sky turned blue again!

Millie looked at the sun and grinned. The sun looked at Millie and winked!

What a great take, such a magical mind this child must have.
