Priceless Joy has taken a break for a couple of weeks, so I thought I’d look back to the first piece I wrote for the challenge in 2015!
oooooo– wooooo – my, this ships rolling.
I just missed my mouth with a fork full of food and nearly stuck it in my eye.
ooooooo – wooooo – here we go again.
Oh ****, that’s my glass of wine gone.
oooooo –wooooo – I’m feeling a little queeeeezeeee…
Run for the railing. Quick.
Three steps forward, two steps back, one step forward…..splat!
I’m so sorry ladies. How embarrassing.
oooooo – wooooo – never again.
Never aaaaaagaaaain!

Something tells me you wouldn’t have done well as a pilgrim sailing to the New World. 🙂

When we were in Plymouth, MA, and toured the Mayflower replica, one of the “passengers” explained that in foul weather they emptied their chamber pots down into the ribs of the ship rather than risking going above deck and getting blown away. Wimp that I am, I think the fumes from those wastes collected over years…
Move over and make room for me at that rail. 😉

This is a replica — but not everything is there as it was on the original. 😉

Sounds like the trip I had from Greece to Yugoslavia. The crew was so sick they didn’t even serve food and told everyone to stay in their rooms.

That sounds worse than mine! I used to comute weekly from England to France for work and so often I was the only man standing!

The trick to eating when the seas are rough is to time your bites to that moment when the ship gets to the top or bottom of the pitch. Trust me.
Good story!

I use the ferry to France often, so that little tip will be very useful!
