Sunday Photo Fiction.
Colin the Curator heard a squeaking sound coming from the Safari section. He rushed in to find one of the elephants was shrinking!
‘I knew it was a bad idea saving money by buying inflatables’ he muttered.
His red-faced assistant Rory was clutching a piece of paper.
‘When I said put a notice on the elephants telling kids not to climb on them I didn’t mean you to attach it with a pin!’
‘Sorry’ said Rory staring at the floor
‘I don’t care how you do it, but make sure it’s blown up again by the time I come back.’
Rory started by getting an elastoplast from the first aid kit and sticking it over the wound.
Colin returned an hour later to find Rory flat on his back holding the elephant’s tail aloft whilst desperately trying to find somewhere to attach the pump.
‘Wrong end’ he yelled. ‘It fits onto the trunk!’
Ten minutes later Colin the Curator heard an enormous bang come from the Safari section.
Needless to say, Rory got fired and now he has a job fitting new tyres to cars and trucks.
