He’s a Pavarotti tribute act, calls himself Pavanotti! Dressed in a black suit with a cushion stuffed inside his shirt to make himself more portly, he belts out operatic arias, handkerchief in hand like the great man himself.

He loves a huge audience, so he always busks on a Saturday, the market’s busiest day.

Actually, he’s more of a niner than a tenor. His Nessun Dorma is a near disaster and his Traviata, a travesty but at least he tries.

I’m told he’s considering a change and becoming a rapper act called Kanya Guess. Yeezus! *

    This is cute. It reminds me of the time my dad sang in the local college’s production of Carlo Minati’s The Medium. He couldn’t sing opera worth a darn, but they couldn’t find anyone else in our community or in the college’s student population to fill the role. So, what could they do? Thank you for sharing.
